The African Leadership Development Institute (ALDI) was established in 2011 by Africa House and was formed to provide an opportunity for African leaders to raise visibility of the community and educate policymakers in order to distribute resources more equitably. The ALDI utilizes the collective base of skills and leadership experience African communities bring from their native countries to instigate change in structural mainstream systems to better address the needs of African communities in Oregon.
