Candidate & Campaign Training for People of Color is now open for registration! 2 out of 5 Oregonians are people of color. 93% of our elected officials are white. Those numbers don't add up.
Color PAC Action Fund, Coalition of Communities of Color, Accion Politica PCUNista and Causa are teaming up to sponsor a one-day non-partisan training for present and future candidates, campaign staff and community leaders of color. Trainees will learn necessary basic skills and strategies to run an effective campaign. This training is for folks of color who are interested in running for office, or helping others run for office.

Advocacy 101 Training
Advocacy leads to broader change. But communities need the tools and infrastructure to advocate effectively.
Northwest Health Foundation, the Nonprofit Association of Oregon and the Coalition of Communities of Color have invited The Campaign Workshop to share their expertise in crafting successful advocacy campaigns. This training is for community members, organizers, coordinators and others who are interested in implementing an advocacy campaign. This isn't a training for folks who are thinking about whether to do advocacy. You should know that you and/or your organization are committed to it!

The Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace Advisory Committee
The advisory committee will consist of 13 members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Oregon Senate, representing insurers, insurance producers, navigators, health care providers, businesses, consumer advocacy groups, enrollees in health plans, and medical assistance agencies. The Department of Consumer and Business Services director and Oregon Health Authority director will be ex-officio members. In addition to providing feedback on the marketplace, the committee will hold open meetings that provide a forum for public discussion.
