Overview
Bridges is the seventh leadership program that was developed in 2013, in order to create a central hub for activities and opportunities as well as to "bridge" the six culturally specific programs to each other and to mainstream institutions. A primary goal of Bridges is to offer continuous support to program alumni through:
- Mentorship Coordination
- Networking Opportunities
- Leadership placements
- Civic Engagement
In addition to working with program alumni, Bridges works with mainstream institutions on creating meaningful leadership roles for leaders of color that do not tokenize individuals and provide space for a racial equity agenda.
